Cocooned – 2019 Newsletter

Last month we were so lucky to be able to visit the wonderful team at Ronald McDonald House Monash as well as pop into see the fantastic folk at Very Special Kids.

Both of these organisations do amazing things to help sick kids and their families, and we will share more about this on the Cocooned blog soon. During our visits, we had the honour of being able to donate Cocooned outfits in lieu of christening gifts.

If you’re looking for an option to gift Cocooned clothing in lieu of gifts we would love to be able to make that happen! Whether it be to celebrate a christening, birthday, wedding, anniversary or a very special Christmas gift.

Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation – 2019 Newsletter Article

Sue Innes wasn’t planning on participating in Frocktober this year. However after mentioning her past fundraising and sharing facts about ovarian cancer in an online group for Ruby Olive jewellery, she found she had suddenly formed an amazing team of 10 like minded women from across Australia and even the US. They called themselves the Frocking ROckstars!

It wasn’t long before the team at Ruby Olive were supporting the cause, frocking up, attending events, providing a lucky door prizes and even creating sets of earrings with a portion of the proceeds going to the OCRF. Sue managed to get the Brooch Lovers Group involved and raised money by auctioning off beautiful brooches. She even donned a barmaid dress to Oktoberfest where she drank her first ever beer!

The other fabulous Frocking ROckstars weren’t about to let Sue have all the fun. They were also busy raising funds all over the country – performing on-stage aerobics in a Wonder Woman frock, walking the dog in an evening gown and even frocking across the Nullarbor! (frocks on rocks!) Cakes were baked, frocks were twirled and many a cup of tea was poured. All in the name of raising awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research.

In the end, this amazing team raised over $18,000 and were the NO. 1 fundraising team of 2019. So if you’re ever thinking ‘maybe I won’t frock up this year’ –  just think of Sue and the Frocking ROckstars!
